Moets is one of the oldest restaurant in Delhi. Its unique complex concept is very popular with all age groups. The varied cuisines in separate restaurants under one roof is applause worthy idea which is paying off immensely. Customers of all age groups frequent this Defence colony market establishment. Moet’s Stone is the Italian counterpart which is spread onto three floors risen by only few steps. You will find mostly young crowd lounging here which is encouraged by the décor. Soft wide sofas decorate the white washed room. Dark wooden beams run through the ceiling. Overall it gives impression of a Mediterranean living room. Huge picture windows overlook the market giving a stunning view. Two floors are lounge areas while top most is an open roof area with hookah setup. On some evenings it is a good place to be if it’s not occupied. The popularity of this restaurant is granted.
The food is authentic Italian maintaining its rustic flavours. Menu is not very lengthy but covers a whole lot of dishes. Start with antipasti. Bruschetta, anti-pasti misti, fungi al forno, mozzarella fritti, crostini assortiti, minestrone soup, caprese salad, arancini di riso, funghi di porcini soup, caesar’s salad, pollo con pesto, calamari e zucchini fritto and marinated fish skewers. The mains have wonderful hand rolled pastas in delicious sauces. Some of them are classics others are unique. Lasagne di pollo, risotto alla Milanese, spinach & ricotta tortellini, ravioli di pollo, pasta in carbonara and risotto con pollo e pomodoro. Some of the rich sauces are available to tossed with your chosen pasta. Alfredo, Bolognese, salsa rose, arrabbiata, carbonara, pesto cremoso and amatriciana. Mains like cottage cheese steak, chicken breast rolled with prosciutto, grilled lobster, salmon fillet with lemon-thyme butter sauce, grilled Australian lamb chops, grilled jumbo prawns and grilled fillet of sole over creamed spinach, are prepared expertly.
Follow the mains with dolci or desserts. Quintessential tiramisu, chocolate mousse, blueberry cheesecake, gelato, chocolate brownie and dark chocolate indulgence are on the menu. Food menu may not be extensive but Stone gives a very wide bar menu. Considering the young crowd the menu shows all the labels. The house is well stocked in alcohol department so you will not be disappointed. You will find wine, vodka, cocktail, gin, rum, whisky, cocktail, cognac, scotch, beer, everything here. Non-drinkers are also taken care of. Amazingly affordable Moet’s Stone is a place worth exploring.
