Tucked away in the first floor of Galleria market, The Joint Café (TJC) is a meat-lovers’ paradise. Its living-room sized space is snug with comfy white tables and framed posters. We were early and settled for a couple of breakfast platters. Almighty, 'Obelix' (platter) featured "Bratwurst, Bockwurst and Nuremberg sausages, 2 additional homemade pork sausages, a strip of streaky Spanish bacon, grilled Prosciutto, sunny-side eggs, hash browns, toast, baked beans, grilled tomatoes and coffee". The sausages and cold-cuts were not messed with though I would have liked the yolks to have a little more colour and tomatoes cooked till mushy. Our 'Hangover Breakfast Platter' had 3 homemade pork sausages, hash browns and grilled tomatoes alongside a trio of tenderloin, lamb and chicken mini-burgers which were quite nice with fresh sesame-flecked buns and juicy, well-seasoned patties.
