Laidback Café, from the team of Shalom, is neatly divided into two zones. The first is a sunny dining-focused space facing DLF Place Mall. It sits adjacent to a middle-eastern themed lounge with projector screens and hookah. If you are looking for a quick bite then get a table in the dining section, and if you are looking for a more laidback experience then grab a cabana sofa in the lounge. Laidback Café’s menu features Indian, Pan-Asian and bistro fare to supplement its core offering of Levantine cuisine. I went with a classic 'Cold Mezze Platter' which featured hot pita straight out of the oven to scoop up freshly made and well-seasoned hummus, babaganoush, cacik and tabbouleh. A plate of 'Grilled Sole' with spicy 'Wasabi Dip' was competently rendered as well with moist fish and smooth mashed potatoes on the side.
