Ramzan is a time for fasting and feasting as after a day’s fast the feasting begins. Iftar is the meal eaten after sunset by Muslims to break their day-long fast. Devotees break their fast at the call of the evening prayers usually with cold beverages, dates and fresh fruits and after offering namaz they have an elaborate meal.

Most times, the women cook many dishes both vegetarian and non vegetarian ones to ensure that the family has a good meal when they break their fast but these days many families are choosing to either eat out or just order in an Iftar food pack. Seeing this trend, many eateries, especially non-vegetarian ones, have started offering Iftar buffets and dozens of them offer Iftar packs which one can order.

La Vista, Cama Hotel

Located in Khanpur, Cama Hotel is the oldest Hotels of Ahmedabad. The La Vista restaurant is offering Iftari pack which can be either taken away or they can be eaten at the restaurant itself. There are many Iftari meals being offered in the city but in this pack you can get mutton and fish also along with chicken while most Iftari meals only have chicken as in its non-vegetarian dishes.

This is bakery and a café which is vegetarian barring eggs. It is offering different Iftari platters which are vegetarian in content but co-owner of Indulgence, Esha Kakkar said that though their platters are vegetarian, many Muslim families are buying their platters and salads along with their very popular cakes, pies and puddings.

Food Inn

This restaurant is located bang opposite the famous Siddi Sayyed Mosque which has a window carving of a tree, branches and leaves carved out of a single stone. This restaurant is offering an Iftari packs at Rs 680. You can either buy the Iftari pack and eat it at home or with friends or you can have it with your friends or family at the restaurant itself.

Paramount

This restaurant has amazing food. It is one of the oldest Mughlai restaurants in the city. It is located inside the old fort area in Bhadra. Here they have three different Iftari packs- Rs 990, Rs 690 and Rs 490. So the contents will remain basically the same but the portions in each pack will differ based on the price point of a pack. Here too you can either eat the Iftari meal in the restaurant or you can take the Iftari pack home.

Simran Farm and Restaurants

Located in Hansol, close to the airport, Simran Farm and Restaurant is famous for its non-vegetarian food. Here you can get an Iftari pack for Rs 800. You can eat it in the restaurant or you can carry it home. But you need to order before 5 pm.
