Just like that, in this sweltering heat, winter has finally come!! GOT fever has taken on the world and Kolkata has its fair share of craziness. People were up at 06:30 in the morning on the 15th of April to catch the first glimpse of the first season of GOT final series. In the restaurant scenario, every city must be cashing on in this opportunity to explore a menu based on GOT menu. Kolkata has gone one step ahead and there is a café which has opened with Game of Thrones theme.
Seven Kingdom, Sector 2, Salt Lake
Seven Kingdom is located at Salt Lake Sector 2, in a quiet residential area. With three separate rooms for dining, every room is a GOT museum.
You literally step into the fantasy land in here. From the iron throne to Robert’s crown, silver goblets for beverages, walls adorned with GOT maps of the seven kingdoms and the images and so on. The food menu is primarily continental, Italian and some European classics with catchy GOT themed names. Egg Whites Stuffed with Devilled Egg Mix is named after the three dragons, Drogon, Rheagal and Viserion. Samwell Tarly Potatoes are mince mutton stuffed potatoes which are deep fried. The absolutely apt name would be Jeoffery the Jerk Chicken, although the chicken itself is quite delicious. Theon’s Sausage Bowl, Lannister’s Golden Hash, The Spicy Night King and many more such dishes. A Song of Ice and Fire is none other than the classic affogato and the High Rise Sparrow is a tall glass of Irish coffee with whipped cream and cocoa powder. On the season finale, they will be doing a special dedicated menu with baos and momos and other lip-smacking dishes along with a screening of the episode.

The Irish House, Quest Mall, Ballygunge
Irish House, in Quest Mall is up with its theme based festival called The Ice and Fire Festival. Throughout the season, enjoy Got themed cocktails along with games like pub quizzes, photo booths and you can buy the official merchandise as well. Just like GOT, this is all about survival of the fittest. So go on and gulp down some of the best cocktails like The white Walker, which is a mix of Bailey’s whiskey, vodka and cream soda.
The Long Claw
Then, there is The Long Claw with fresh lager beer, activated charcoal, triple sec and a lot of smoke. Khaleesi’s Pride is all about gin, sambuca and elder flower. The Three Eyed Raven is particularly interesting with Bourbon, black currant extract, orange juice topped with three icy black grapes.
