The star of this café, Chef Souvik hails from Kolkata and an award-winning chef, his work in the kitchen has charmed all kinds of visitors at some of the best restaurants in the country, including this café.

Souvik Ray is the executive chef at Café Noir and holds the command of this famous French café. He has always been passionate for cooking, he started his career with a fine dining Italian Restaurant – Stella under the leadership of Michelin Star Chef – Maximillano Cotilli and Chef Marco Priolo. After that Souvik joined The Mediterranean Grill restaurant – Trendz. After that he contributed to food & beverage industry and got associated with some of the renowned places such as The Marriott International and Taj Group of Hotels.

He is well known for loving global cuisine and this justifies the dishes that satisfy his taste buds ranging from Asian & European food, sushi, handmade pasta and delicious recipes of his mother. He has won various medals and awards such as Gold medal at The Great Indian Culinary Challenge 2011, in the Professional Hot Main-Course category. Then he one another medal in 2013 and two in 2018.

When chef is not working in the kitchen, he likes to listen to music, travel, read culinary books, eating and also enjoys scrolling through his social media platforms.

Going forward with his journey with café Noir he plans to bring forward his skills rom his past experiences in fine dining. He is also in favour of exploring the amazing difference between his present and past, where during his past he worked under talented minds. Now he is all set and ready to pursue the demanding yet thrilling journey of leading the team at Café Noir.

Do not miss forget to order Ice Tea with mint leaves and lemon juice, before you order anything else. Then, try the delicious hot Tomato Soup. Going forward, do order roasted pork chops, La Gratinee Veg – Penne pasta which is served with seasonal vegetables in bechamel sauce topped with mozzarella cheese, and Cassolette de Poissons Tandoori. When it comes to dessert do try Red Velvet Cake, Seasonal Fruit Tart, and Mousse Cake.
