A striking dining destination in Bengaluru that specializes in Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes

As soon as you step out of the elevator on the 21st floor of the Four Seasons Bengaluru, you can hear the clink of glasses and faint laughter from the al-fresco dining area of Far & East.

This restaurant of Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru grants extraordinary access to a wonderful world of culinary delights. Far & East is known for its authentic flavours of Japanese, Thai and Chinese served with an unconventional twist.

If you’ll choose to sit by the glass façade that overlooks Four Seasons Residences and the twinkling lights of vehicles as they flow past on the roads which run so many floors below. If anyone chooses to sit by the live sushi counter where one can chat with the chefs. The open kitchen format here offers a magnificent view of Chef Atsushi Yonaha and Chef Leong Then floruishing the wok.

The menu here is a comprehensive mix of Asian flavours comprising Thai, Chinese, and Japanese cuisines. One can begin their meal with the familiar but flavourful Hot and Sour Sichuan soup. From the list of appetizers one should order Yum Salmon which has bite-sized chunks of the fish tossed in herbs, with shallots and a passion fruit dressing. One can never go wrong with a bowlful of Edamame with a Togarashi dusting. From the Guilin region of China comes the Guilin Fries, seasonal root fries in a chilli sauce.

All of these make for a range of flavour profiles to go along with the signature Asian cocktails. They serve famous cocktails such as Tom Yummy in particular – with Vodka, Lemongrass and a hint of Togarashi is good. One should also ask for Chef Yonahan’s sushi platter and enjoy the thrill of seeing the Volcano Maki roll brought to the table. Similar to this, there is this amazing dish, the Flaming Duck that is flambéed at the table and carved.

The restaurant is not only about the stylish design, but the food aims to be the heart and soul with captivating flavours of the East. There are three private dining rooms for 10, 10 and 14 guests in which diners can entertain themselves, and a beautiful sit-out overlooks the cityscape, replete with lush green treetops.

Since no meal can end without the sweet ending, the desserts have been crafted not just to soothe cravings or elicit a gasp but also create the perfect Instagrammable moment.
