To no one’s surprise, Kolkata is touted as one of the most affluent gourmand destinations in the country. This art and culture-forward city is a melting pot of sorts that has always been blessed with a rich culinary ecosystem. Located in Park Street Area, the interiors have been beautifully done up. As soon as you enter, you are greeted with colorful acrylic books, located next to a wall adorned with black-and-white pictures of old Calcutta, which adds to the warmth. Celebrating Kumartuli, the Flower Market and terracotta in Bengal is a wall full of taxi yellow masks, flower murals and dome lights with terracotta danglers.

The plush seating area is also bright & comfy. The space is huge and has been divided into three sections and depending on your mood you can choose the area that matches your vibe. Besides the larger-than-life opulence of the place, Farzi is also golden on the music front, thumping Bollywood favorites are played throughout the day adding to the exuberance.

Coming to food, Farzi has successfully brought back Indian cuisine into vogue. Best described as a gourmet experience, it amalgamates traditional global and Indian classics, with Indian influences, contemporary presentations, culinary styles and ambiance. In all honesty, Farzi is a quirky, chic, modern Indian café, where guests enjoy a sensory experience through the finest modern Indian cuisine.

Infusing a generous dose of Indian flavors, Farzi Café presents Indian cuisine where culinary art meets the alchemy of modern presentations and cooking techniques like molecular gastronomy. As soon as you are seated, you are served welcome drinks to begin your gastronomic journey.

They have a really brief but exciting Indian menu. The most liked dishes in starters include delectables like Kumbh Cheese Kulcha, Mutton Galawati Kulcha, Murgh Malai Kebab, Dahi Kebab, Paneer Tikka. It’s truly a haven for Kebab lovers too as they have 7-8 types of them including veg ones too. If you want big portions to share amongst your group, you can choose platters. There are also live pastas and paratha counters and an innovative mains section on the menu filled to the brim with contemporary Indian classics.

Some must-try dishes include options like Lamb Shank Rogan Josh Meal, Chicken Tikka Masala With Cornish Cheese Naan and Chutney Chicken Biryani.

Farzi carries a full bar menu housing almost all spirits & liquors under the sun. But if you are a connoisseur, we highly recommend you try their lineup of artisanal cocktails, they are really the show-stopper here!

Their dessert curation is nothing short of pure art, so make sure you leave some space to try those. Some sizeable gems perfect to end your meal on a sweeter note include ingenious indulgences like the Parle-G Cheesecake, Yuzu Malai, and Rasmalai Tres Leches.
