Classic French elegance meets modern palate!

They say ‘'God is in the details'', well that’s exactly the thought that pops into your mind when you enter the French fine-dining outlet, La Petite Maison in Dubai. Neatly spaced out tables topped up with starched white table cloths, and finished with a handful of tomatoes, a bottle of olive oil, and a lemon, which by the way are meant to be enjoyed with the food, are just a few thoughtful little accents peppered around that make this sunny French reverie of a restaurant different from other European joints.

Surrounded by art galleries, high-end shopping, Christie’s auction house, and hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons, La Petite Maison or LPM as it is fondly referred to as by the locals, is home to French Mediterranian cuisine. Drawing inspiration from fresh ingredients typically used in the cuisine, this chic place creates a magical medley of flavors wherein staples like sun-soaked artichokes, lemons, olives, courgettes, tomatoes, peppers, fresh seafood, meat, and pasta lead everything. The food here arrives at your table the moment it is ready and is made using fresh ingredients that are sourced with painstaking attention to detail. Their curation of dishes is impeccable, making it extremely difficult to zero in on one best option, but if you ever find yourself in the vicinity, here are 5 delish preparations that you absolutely must not miss from their stellar menu.

1. Burrata with Tomatoes and Basil

A dish that needs no introduction. This Italian in origin delicacy is the favorite of many and its LPM rendition featuring cherry tomatoes and a gorgeous ball of fresh, creamy burrata cheese imported from France is the perfect light hors d'oeuvre, which because of its fresh flavor palate tastes just like summer on a plate.

2. Snails with Garlic Butter

What can be more French than snails in garlic butter for a starter?  Snails with Garlic Butter or as the French call it- Escargots De Bourgogne is an LPM signature delicacy that is executed to perfection and features soft but not chewy meat with all the decadence and richness of garlic butter. An absolute must-have.

3. Seafood Paella

Although Spanish in its origin, the Seafood Paella is also a very popular preparation in the South of France. LPM’s rendition of this simple yet flavourful dish is guaranteed the best you’ll ever have and the reason behind its rich smoky taste is the use of a charcoal Josper oven by the chef.

4. Salad of Endives, Gorgonzola, and Caramelised Walnut

An LPM classic, this is a rich French salad featuring a melange of playful textures and flavors that complement each other so well, resulting in a sensational gastronomic experience that you wish never ends!

5. French Toast with Spice Ice Cream

Dessert in LPM is one course that you simply can't miss. They have a plump curation to appease any sweet treat aficionado. Tarts, mousse, cheesecake, decadent chocolate indulgences- you name it, they have it. But if you only have room for one dessert, we highly recommend trying their French toast with spice ice cream. This sweet treat is one of the most loved dishes, and for good reason. The spongy “French toast” is light and syrupy, which works beautifully with the mildly spiced ice cream.
