When one is a student, one is always on the lookout for pocket-friendly eateries and cafes which offer great food. Also, young executives, new families and others aspiring to eat out more often are always looking for economic yet awesome places for food.

One needs to discover such precious places and all across India, there are such gems. Sometimes, they are hard to find as they are often tucked away in the inside lanes and are not found on the main roads.

So, we decided to do you a solid and list some awesome pocket-friendly places for you. So here goes:

List of pocket-friendly restaurants in Ahmedabad

Brewers - The Coffee Bar, Usmanpura, West Ahmedabad

This café is located in a corner shop in Usmanpura, right opposite Fortune Landmark Hotel. It is a small place with just a few tables placed inside and outside. Here you can get pizza, sandwiches, Fries and hot and cold beverages at affordable prices. They also have attractive combos. It is a vegetarian café open from 10 am to 10.30 pm.

Price for 2: Rs 400

Tulsi Restaurant, Navrangpura, West Ahmedabad

Located in Gulbai Tekra, this is a vegetarian restaurant. It serves multi-cuisine food and is open for lunch and dinner. Here you can get an Executive Lunch for just Rs 200 per person and a Fixed Lunch for Rs 165 per person. The food is tasty and the taste is consistent.

La Bella, Bhadra, Central Ahmedabad

This is 55 years old Goan restaurant which is now run by 70 plus-year-old Mrs Mary Lobo. This place was first operated by Mrs Lobo and her husband but after he passed she has been running this place alone for almost 25 years. Here you can still have a non-vegetarian meal at Rs 150 per person and the food is authentic Goan. It is located in the bylanes of Khanpur but out-station students flock here for the tasty non-vegetarian food at really low prices. It is open for lunch and dinner.

Hotel Moti Mahal, Kalupur, Central Ahmedabad

This restaurant has amazing Mughlai food. It is one of the oldest Mughlai restaurants in the city. It is located in the old city area opposite the railway station. It is open the whole day from 6 am to 11 pm. Here you can get Paya Curry early in the morning and that too at pocket-friendly rates. They also serve great biryanis.

Price: Rs 600

Magic Chicken, Sarkhej, West Ahmedabad

Located in Sarkhej area, this restaurant had outdoor seating. It is open only in the evening time from 5 pm to 11 pm. It serves a limited menu of Lebanese food which includes Shawarma, Grilled Chicken, etc. Here people flock for their delicious Shawarmas.
