Located in one of the most serene and beautiful talukas in Goa, Canacona, this very name connotes the local place. Canacona is one of the versions that was derived from the word 'konkan' which itself gets its abbreviation from the Sanskrit word ‘konvapuram’. The design element focuses on refurbished art and has a strong influence of traditional Portuguese décor, combining modernism with traditional cues. With the main meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner being served with flair, the menu for this restaurant is inspired by world cuisines with a contemporary, fusion touch to the dishes. Cool one’s heels with the watermelon Vishnupriya – a mix of Grey Goose, fresh watermelon juice and basil leaves. Dig right into the À la carte menu that includes tandoori jhinga – fresh Arabian prawns cooked in Indian spices and cooked in the tandoor. Also highly recommended is the dal Baluchi – black lentils prepared overnight for a rich creamy perfection. The vegetarians may opt for cajun spiced vegetable skewers and end the experience with an apple tart – apples baked with cinnamon, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
