Right by the riverside, the hustle bustle of the city is left far behind, as you sit in the favourite restaurant in Panaji with alfresco garden seating next to the River Mandovi. Conceptualised around the early eighties, this restaurant was a pioneer in many aspects including the fast food drive − they were the first to introduce the Bombay pav bhaji − the mashed mixed vegetables, fried on a flat pan and served with bread drenched in butter, though it has been discontinued now. For quick bites, try the snacks − burgers, pizzas, and milkshakes. A multi-cuisine menu these days caters to Chinese, Indian, Goan and Continental. From the lobster steak or the seafood sizzler symphony, the continental way, to the Indian tandoori pomfret, it has everything from quick bites to full meals. Day or night, the venue opens for breakfast and closes at the stroke of midnight, and the lapping of the waves and the movement of river traffic are the only things to disturb your reverie.
