A simple café on a touristy belt would be the best way to describe Ruta and Neville’s labour of love. An open courtyard leads to a quaint old Goan house, with a small café style seating indoors and an adjoining room that doubles up as a lounge. Known to lead with a robust breakfast of stuffed omellets, huevos rancheros and Kerala scramble with roadhouse styled pancakes making their way from the US served with fresh fruit and homemade syrup. The bite plates on offer come in great portions with filling juicy pork carnitas, spicy roast beef and shepherd’s pie for non-vegetarians. The Tuscan sandwich and the Asoan glass noodles are great options for vegetarians. Joy for the sweet tooth lies in the muffins and American styled cookies while you sit down and browse through a book or sip on a coffee. This is the perfect place for one on a holiday and a much-needed ‘breather’.
