Located on the second floor of the Ohri’s building on Road No 12 Banjara Hills, Far East has an elegant Chinese style décor and comfortable seating with adequate privacy. The menu here is extensive and has delicacies from all over the orient, panning from 'Burmese Khowsuey' to Japanese 'Tempura Udon'. Their affordable lunch buffet throughout the week is popular, with quite a good spread of starters and main courses. However, the food is often excessively oily and spicy, which is a dampener. From the a-la-carte menu, few items from the Dim Sum House section are decent – go for 'Prawn Hargao' or 'Chicken Siumai'. Among the appetizers 'Taipei Chicken' works for the non-vegetarians while for vegetarians 'Crispy Corn Chilli Pepper' and 'Silken Tofu with Cashew' are good options. 'Tsing Hoi Chicken' and 'Thai Curry are my picks from the main course. Service is slow and the waiters need to be more knowledgeable about the menu.
