Sahib’s Barbeque by Ohri’s lends a Hyderabadi twist to the perennially popular BBQ-on-table format. Even though Sahib’s is priced as casual dining, the regal ambience exudes an air of splendour. Diners are greeted with a Sharbat and a spherified yoghurt amuse-bouche. As suggested by the name of the restaurant, the focal point of the buffet is the 8 BBQ starters, evenly split between vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. However, what makes Sahib’s stand out from the rest of the pack are the traditional Hyderabadi delicacies – from 'Lukhmi' and 'Patthar Ka Gosht' in the appetisers to 'Smoked Jauzi Halwa' and 'Qubani Ka Meetha' in desserts. Live stations dish out Shawarma, Chaat, and even Chai with traditional Irani Café biscuits. 'Taulia Naan' - an oversized spiced bread served on an eye-catching vertical stand, is another Sahib’s speciality. It is meant to be shared amongst the diners on the table and was created as a nod to the communal dining traditions that are still found in areas like Barkas.
