Prego, which means “welcome” in Italian, is the Italian restaurant chain of The Westin with outlets in Delhi, Mumbai and Pune apart from Hyderabad. The restaurant at The Westin, Hitech City serves traditional Italian food. With a huge open kitchen on one side, they have indoor seating with a nice view of the poolside as well as an al-fresco dining option. The menu goes much beyond the standard Italian fare and has some very interesting dishes. Among the appetisers, 'Insalata Di Rucola', an arugula and goat cheese based salad is recommended. 'Ossobuco', a lamb shank dish is another highlight of the menu. The place has a wide range of pasta dishes too. Their 'Tiramisu' is one of the best in the city. They have interesting food festivals from time to time, my favourites are the ones which showcase the cuisine of a particular region like 'Venice or Lombardy. Service is adequate and unobtrusive.
