Rika gets its name from paprika. The modern Asian restaurant at Park Hyatt replaces Oriental Bar & Kitchen, the earlier Pan-Asian outlet of the hotel. As you enter the place, you cannot help but notice the oriental hand-pulled rickshaw right in front of the entrance. Two modern murals adorn the walls stretching up to the ceiling. The cocktail bar serves some interesting cocktails curated by mixologist Roxanne Read. The signature drinks have a dash of chillies in it and include 'Tea Time' a whisky-based cocktail with green chillies and orange bitters, and 'Roasted Red Velvet' a chilli-infused preparation with vodka. The restaurant boasts of the couple of live teppans dishing out gems like 'Sauteed Tiger Prawns in Yellow Curry'. The sushis here have become the talk-of-the-town in a short time. Apart from 'Hand-rolled Temaki' and 'Gunkans', the 'Salmon Sashimi' is a must-try for fish lovers. The mains to gorge on are 'Sichuan Chilli Chicken' and 'Slow Roasted Lamb Shanks.

Meet the mixologist Roxanne Read at Rika who hails from South Africa with over 9 years of experience. She intends to redefine and revolutionize the art of mixology and raise the bar by a few notches above the expected and bring to the city some of the most unique cocktails. Chef Li from China House at Grand Hyatt Mumbai has been part of the Rika culinary team to bring to the city what Mumbai has savored for a decade of his specialties in Schezwan cuisine. Rolling sushi with Chef Myo Executive Chef (Hands On), Myo Zaw Aung fondly reminisces about helping his mother in the kitchen of their Myanmar-home, a crucial part of his upbringing that laid the foundation to his 25-year career. His jovial and upbeat attitude adds to Rika’s experience. In just less than a year, Roxanne earns herself the Mixologist of the Year in the Times Food & Nightlife Awards 2019, Hyderabad Edition. Chef Li brings Chinese Menu to Rika After a successful Japanese affair in Rika, the new Chinese Menu would be an addition to the portfolio of the Asian restaurant. Chef Li, has specially curated this Chinese menu which expands to explore various flavours of cuisine. Making some twists to the existing menu, they have added some new dishes like Wok tossed Chinese green with preserved vegetables, Sichuan chili poached chicken, Sliced lamb with onion chilli and cumin to name a few. The Yuzu cheesecake will surely be a dessert loved by all. Paired with some cocktails by Roxanne, you sure can think of having a good time at Rika. Pan Asian cuisine at its best

The General Manager of Park Hyatt, Hyderabad Mr Thomas suggested this happening Pan Asian Resturant in their property - Rika. At the entrance we were received by Ms Reetika and seated us at our appointed and pre-reserved Teppanyaki table with a personal live counter for the Chef to prepare a dishes of our choice with their regular briefings and our inputs. The restaurant had one more such table apart from other couple, family and small group sittings. Chef Myo briefed us about the Pan Asian cuisine on offer and started with Edamame Dumpling. He was aware of our sensitivities in terms of being strict vegetarian. We than started off with sweet corn soup and Teppanyaki veggies. Chef Kunal took over and started preparing the Teppanyaki dishes - noodles, kaki-a-age and silken tofu. My wife was delighted to see him dole out these dishes, learnt few new tricks and also gave her inputs of our preferences while the same was being prepared right before us. It was a wow experience and suggest it to anyone looking for pan Asian cuisine. Needless to say we signed off with a dessert - the yummy Yuzu Lime Cheese cake.

Very Oily Food with Sexist Waiter

We ate here on Dec 27th evening after arriving from a long flight. I was with my Husband who is White American and I myself am Indian American. I ordered for both of us but before I did the waiter did not even acknowledge my presence and would only address my husband. So he was surprised that I had the audacity to order for both of us, I initially got angry but brushed it off as a cultural thing and he's just catering to the White guy. Once he walked away he returned in a min and went straight to my husband and asked him if he would like to add any meat to the order since I just ordered vegetarian items. We both were surprised by this and confused. Was he shocked my husband didnt order and I did for both of us? Whatever it was for a hotel that wants to be of a certain standard this is not okay behavior from the staff.

The best of south east asian cuisine in the heart of Hyderabad

Fancy some sushi? Or may be some Bao? Or just some chicken popcorn? Look no further, simply visit Rika. A newly and very tastefully decored restaurant in the Park Hyatt Hyderabad. Every dish we had was a classic masterpiece by itself. Get a taste of all possible south Asian flavors right under one roof. I am also very impressed with their attention to providing Hyderabadis what they love best....chillies! This restaurant offers chillies from all over the world. Atleast 15 types are right on display with many there for you to taste as well. Its just an experience one should not miss. And ofcourse it has a well stocked bar as well to give you just the perfect dining experience one looks for. Outstanding food, superb service and superlative ambience give this restaurant an aura of class. So without further ado, book your table for a gourmet tour of some superlative south asian cuisine at Rika. And yes I must mention that though it came from the Italian restaurant but according to me Park Hyatt Hyderabad serves the worlds best Tiramisu! Kudos to the chef!! Keep it up guys. You make me come back again and again for more!!!

Over price for the quality and not that great

The sushi was ok ok, not the best I travel often to japan so I know very well Japanese food this is not like around Asia but is ok, but the service ohhh very very slow is like they not care about costumers...
