Simply South, as the name suggests, specializes in South Indian cuisine. The restaurant at Film Nagar showcases the food of each of the 5 southern states, along with the local cuisine of Hyderabad. Chef Chalapathi Rao, the owner of this restaurant is one of the well-known authorities of South Indian cuisines in the city. The menu is segregated state-wise and I will advise you to make multiple visits to this place, enjoying the cuisine of each state at one time. Both the Telangana and Andhra food here are prepared from traditional recipes and among the best in this city. Interesting combos can be worked out from the menu such as 'Appam' with 'Malabar Pachha Kari Stew'. The vegetarian, egg or chicken version of 'Kuttu Parotta' is another dish I recommend. While waiting for the food, do try the chutneys served on the table along with the complementary assortment of Papads.
