This is a concept restaurant run by Deaf Enabled Foundation, an NGO, which has a mission of empowering people with hearing and speech impairment. All the servers are hearing and speech impaired and they communicate with you in sign language. This is not a place where you go just to enjoy the food. It is a place to get a richer overall experience of communicating without speaking, and getting a peek into the world of differently abled persons, however, in case you find it difficult to communicate, they have one person among the staff who can speak and hear to help you. Ask for the handy flipbook with signs for common items like sauce, water and salt. Use that and the educative instructions on the table mat to communicate with the staff. The wall also has posters explaining sign language alphabets and common expressions like “Thank you” and “Excuse Me”. The menu too has unique signs next to each dish, which the customer has to communicate while placing the order. While this may sound difficult, the whole experience becomes unbelievably simple with the help of the warm and friendly staff. Some of their tandoori items like ‘Paneer Malai Tikka’ and ‘Murgh Reshmi Kabab’ are worth trying out. The Chinese dishes are quite spicy and not authentic.
