Peshawri offers an award winning menu of dishes cooked in the traditional clay tandoor. The menu offers a wide range of kebabs, vegetarian dishes and Indian breads that are drenched in mouth-watering flavors. Every dish exhibits the generous flavor of desi ghee and butter and comes with a melt in the mouth texture.
Appetizers like Murgh Malai Tikka, Sikandri Raan, Tandoori Jheenga and Tandoori Lobster are excellent options for non-vegetarians. Tandoori Aloo, potatoes filled with raisins, cashew nuts and chilies, skewered and chargrilled is a true delicacy for vegetarians. The succulent Paneer Tikka and Subz Seekh should also not be missed.
Coming to the main course, the Murgh Makhni and the classic Dal Bukhara make for a luxurious treat. Served with an array of Indian breads, these two dishes guarantee a more than satisfying experience. For those with a sweet tooth, you can choose from a range of typical Indian sweets like Phirni, Gulab Jamun, Rasmalai and Kulfi. The restaurant does not serve anything in rice. However, the taste and texture of the Indian breads and kebabs will surely not make you miss the rice.
The staff at the restaurant is very warm. Also, they encourage you to eat with your hands, which is why no cutlery is served. However, if you find that difficult, you can request for cutlery and the service staff will gladly offer you whatever you need.
There are very few tables that feature a sofa sitting with a back rest. You can majorly find wooden stools and half beds for a more traditional seating experience. If such seats make you uncomfortable, make sure to call in at the restaurant and make a reservation for the back rest seating in advance.
