It is simply amazing how a small backyard of a store selling women’s clothing, accessories, pottery and some traditional artefacts, can be transformed into a stylish and chic café. The whiff of coffee greets you as you enter the place. Laid back ambience with some blue tiled tables, different chairs, some stools made with overturned paint buckets, creepers and green here and there, groovy music playing in the background, everything carved out in a way to ensure one has a leisurely time over some seriously fresh food. The menu is mostly salads, sandwiches, soups and a few small and big bites. The avocado tortilla salad and the black rice salad with Asian dressing, sesame and peanuts with the addition of shrimps are especially popular. For a light kick of proteins, one can pick from the prawn and papaya salad or the chicken sandwiches, which unlike most places are basically jaffa sandwiches filled with the goodness of chicken and some onions, capsicum, etc. The pesto platter is worth a try with fresh pesto and cherry tomatoes and mozzarella on the side with some crusty bread to dip and radiates with vibrancy. The food is fresh and simple with an emphasis on health. Overall, it is a perfect place to go out with a gang of girlfriends.
