Entry into this plush but somewhat dimly lit lounge transports you into the colonial era. The décor is unmistakably vintage and the ambience replete with old-world charm. Spacious, this place offers ample seating options, but the area behind the bar is the quieter section. Cocktails, wines and spirits are what this place is famous for. The ‘Baroke Signature’ section offers interesting options but there are classics too. The food menu is understandably limited but has a few interesting Lebanese dishes, mainly finger food. The chicken goujons, red pepper hummus is a unique melange of textures with crispy, succulent pieces of fried chicken served on a bed of hummus and toasted bread. The hummus is well-made and boasts of the right textures and flavours. Creole spiced chicken tenders which perk up your taste buds is also worth a try. Oh! Shitake among the flatbreads is a real surprise and filling too. The food is reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. The service is attentive and the staff polite.
