This place reminiscent of a British pub is busy throughout the day but transforms into a pulsating hotspot in the evenings. The décor is quintessentially that of a rustic pub - warm, dark with lots of wooden barrels and bric-a-brac. The bar counter is the focal point with bar stools dotted around it and people relaxing with a beer or a cocktail. Apart from that, there is a fairly large seating area around and the place is popular with youngsters and families alike. The music played here is foot-tapping and exceptionally enjoyable. The bartenders are efficiency personified and adeptly mix the drinks. The menu on the tab is surprisingly exhaustive. The menu is undoubtedly a delight for carnivores. 'Grilled Chicken Salad', 'Countryside Chicken Burger', 'Kheema Pao', 'Chipotle Chicken Pizza' are worth-a-try. The portions are generous and the dishes robust. Among the desserts, the apple pie was a tad disappointing as it was too dry and crumbly. The service staff is well-spoken and extremely alert. There is a Jain menu on offer too.
The ambiance is good and offers privacy as space better the tables is good and there are some nooks as well. The music/TV are not loud- a big plus- so you can actually have a conversation. Drinks and food very average. service person was totally disinterested. Get the service right and improve on food+ drink and it will really be well worth a visit. The prices are very reasonable however.
Kabbab was really juicy Beer was chilled .Staff is excellent but the Manager looked worried I don’t know why.
The food is awaful ! .. felt like chef tried for Fusion and failed miserably or we got the suggestion from service staff were not their best dish either ways the food and service was poor !
Good location inside the Oberoi mall..imposing entrance with the BBC logo and yellow lights..nice spacious seating inside..unique way of ordering food and drinks through online selection from their menu..variety of Veg options available..tasty and interesting food..a must visit.
At one point of time this happened to be a favourite hangout for us and so to refresh the memories we decided to go there this Saturday Evening. As expected the place was full and we were told a waiting time of 45 min. Since we went early we decided to register our name and once they assured us they will call us once table is ready we went to checkout a few other things. However even after 1 hr, when we didn’t receive a call, we went to check and could understand they have allowed others ahead of us. Any way after another 20 min we were given a table. Usually we liked the western music that were played earlier. However we were surprised to find the DJ playing the popular Hindi songs and towards the end he was eve repeating. We ordered for Bombil fry, chicken cheese cigar roll, mac cheese pasta and shepherds pie. The starters were good but the Shepherds Pie was a big disappointment with a strong taste of tomato purée. The bread served along with it was hard and cold. So we decide to order garlic bread which was no different either.i also ordered for a Hot Toddy cocktail and I must say the one served in Farsi Cafe is much much better. Overall a disappointing experience
The concept of pubbing started with the English when they introduced to the world the art of nursing one’s beer with a bowl of peanuts and arguing with their friends over sports. It gave them a comfortable space to drink in peace and a sense of community. Since then the idea simply grew into what it is today, a sought after string of gastro pubs dotted all over Mumbai. With ‘British Brewing Company’ the idea goes back home by adapting the appearance of an old-fashioned watering hole, starkly different than the usual modern suspects one has come to expect. The pub presides on the third floor of Oberoi Mall on Film City Road in Goregaon East and is a huge social hub for tipplers of all ages. You will see a lot of after office crowd here enjoying their beer.
British Brewing Company takes an insane amount of pride in its bar selection, which simply overspills with a vast variety of beers. If you want to be adventurous, ask for whatever is on the tap. Other than an extensive variety of hard liquors, they also do great cocktails. Imbibe a few before moving onto the shots. People drinking alone can sit at the bar and nurse their beers. Food wise, their menu is all-encompassing. Expect everything from Continental to American to European to Italian but most surprising of all is their British section. Try, juicy lamb seekh kebab, cottage cheese skewers, butter garlic prawns, spinach & mushroom pinwheel, bruschetta, kheema pao, paneer tikka and hot cheesy logs. Main course is a compilation of dishes like, south-west chicken wrap, submarine veg sandwich, Mediterranean pizza, pasta in pink sauce, country side chicken burger, traditional fish & chips and Thai red curry.
Jains get a separate menu. Their dessert section is an overload of chocolate, a delicious selection for chocoholics. Indulge in, berry chocolate cobbler, sizzling brownie, hot chocolate fondant, caramel custard, mud cake, chocolate biscotti and rich chocolate cake. Interiors are designed similar to an old-fashioned English pub. Décor is wood heavy and masculine, dark in appearance. Wooden barrels are used cleverly in various forms to accentuate the earthy brewery appeal. Dim lighting, dark intense ambience and casual relaxing vibe, makes British Brewing Company an ideal place to bring your friends for couple of drinks. While not cheap, the pub can be an excellent addition to your favorite hangouts.
