Opened in place of the erstwhile Jewel of India, this casual dining hot spot bears no resemblance to its predecessor in décor or food offerings. Dimly lit, with ample space and an island bar, it exudes a cool and relaxed vibe. The music adds to the lively ambience. The new food menu is fairly limited, albeit with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options in the salads, small plates, grills, street food sections. The bar menu is fairly exhaustive and it is fun to watch the bartenders at work. The 'Coorg style Chicken Dry Fry' is spicy enough to perk up your taste buds. 'Baked Chicken with Soya Mirin' is an even better bet. Most of the dishes look better than they taste as the flavours are strictly ordinary. The 'Chicken Pot Pie' disappoints as it is nowhere close to a pie but of a runny stew consistency instead. The staff although warm needs to be better trained as they are clueless about the menu offerings. The 'Kalkatta Paan Cheesecake' sounds interesting, but sadly most of the desserts listed on the menu are unavailable. Ask the bartender to fix you a drink as per your preference.
Visited this place for Sunday brunch to celebrate my mother's birthday, the buffet is a great value for money. Food and ambiance is great. The service staff needs training and development as they are not pro active. Lack basic service aticate and manners. The band member sings atrociously, it simply spoiled the mood. I world recomend not to visit this place for Sunday brunches.
Never had such a bad experience in any restaurant. The staff was highly uncooperative in letting us stay inside even though all of us had digital IDs. They said 'Aadhar card is not reliable so we won't accept aadhar.' Never ever faced this problem ever. Even once inside, the waiter approached us nearly 10 times to leave the table as soon as possible, while dancing they nearly kicked us out. Horrible. Regret choosing this place to party.
We were a large group of friends and kids. Booked a table in advance. The Sunday buffet spread has something to suit every palate and also a good mix of veg and non veg. It was a good large space with a live band. The food was quite delicious as well. However, we felt that they were not replacing the crockery fast enough so many times people were maid to wait till someone got the crockery from the kitchen. But overall a great experience and will visit again.
I been to this place after a busy day. Location was good and easy reachable. Staff at glocal was truly professional and helping. Service is fast. Food was so delicious and portion size was good. They have many options for wine and dine. Ambience of this place was wonderful with good lighting and soft music. Manager of this place mr. Sudhakar is very nice person, He meet and greet to every client. I will definitely visit again.
Best place to hangout with friends and family. It has the best food and prompt service. Food tasted just awesome and drinks were just perfect. The staff is on toes to cater your needs. Very well organised and managed by the team members. Special mention to Mr Adrian our bar man and Mr Sudhakant who made our day more special by personal touch. Great place and classy ambiance. Kudos to you guys. Keep it up
Have you fixed your next Saturday night haunt yet? If not then hold on! We have unearthed a trendy happening spot for you where you can bid the week goodbye with a round of drinks and music. Popularly known as ‘Glocal Junction’ to the Mumbaikars, this laid-back bar is just perfect for a casual fun evening. Be it to wash off the grueling stress of work or to simply get together with friends, whatever the reason may be Glocal Junction will be ideal. The bar is located on the ground floor of Nehru Centre just opposite Nehru Planitorium in Worli. The vibe is cool here and is one of the lures for the bar’s popularity. With perky live music and lively ambience, Glocal Junction has become a busy hangout for the youths.
The idea of Glocal Junction is entirely different from its predecessor Jewel of India. Here the ambience is very upbeat and playful. With a lavish multi-cuisine menu they have paired a fantastic booze selection which entails labels from all over the globe. Glocal Junction organizes fun karaoke nights and live sports screening to keep their punters happy. Tap into their wi-fi if you have some emails to send. One can give scotches and beers and wine a skip and go for their signature cocktails. Chilly passion fruit, evening in Tokyo and Caribbean fire & ice ball is especially delicious. Throw in few nibbles to go with it. For a more substantial fare you can dig into, chicken chili pizza, grilled tofu glazed with sriracha sauce, nasi goreng, grilled Indian salmon with wasabi cream sauce, dosa waffle with chicken sukka, penne rigate jardinara, farmer’s delight pizza and chicken pot pie.
For your share of sugar rush get some of Glocal Junction’s delectable desserts. There are few innovative takes on classic desserts too on the menu, something worth looking into. Try, kalkatta paan cheese cake, waffle brownie with ice cream, baked citrus rabdi with saffron pearls, banoffee pie and caramel mousse with edible soil. They even do a Jain version of the menu, to keep the vegetarians happy. Interiors of Glocal Junction has an industrial look to it with exposed wooden rafters, edgy ironwork, dim yellow lighting and wooden finishes. Use of iron grill work in bar and staircase, that leads you to the upper floor, gives a masculine appeal to it. For a medium-priced bar, Glocal Junction is not a bad deal.
