An atmospheric fine-dining restaurant, this place puts you at ease instantly as the vibe is warm and home-like. The vast expanse of space and the natural light filtering in, adds to the charm. The menus for lunch and dinner are separate, with the dinner one having a few more additions. The exhaustive bar menu and a well-stocked bar to match is a highlight. The chicken barley broth with mild flavours is as comforting as it sounds. House cured tuna nicoise proves to be the perfect first course choice. The oregano vinaigrette adds the right amount of zest. The vegetarian offerings on the menu are equally exciting for a change, compelling me to opt for the roasted garlic linguine, courgettes, spinach pesto. With a distinct garlic flavour, the pesto slathered linguine is a treat for the palate and the courgettes add the right element of bite. Tandoor roasted blackened spice chicken and coriander pesto rubbed grilled pork chop will delight carnivores. The curried pumpkin and sage ravioli is worth a try. The deconstructed tiramisu disappoints and I prefer the classic version. Guava bavarois and warm toffee pudding are other options. The service is quick and alert, yet unobtrusive.
