A venue desperately trying to stand out from all the other 'cool' or 'trendy' places, Opa succeeds up to a point, but unfortunately is not one of the most swish bars in Mumbai. Spread across two sections on the rooftop – the lounge and the café, there is ample seating space to choose from. The Moroccan theme, in the décor sets the tone of an Arabian Nights’ setting. This theme pervades the menu as well and the chefs do justice to the Lebanese and Moroccan inspired dishes, which are fairly varied. Opa is popular for sheesha and apart from the standard flavours, it offers unique fresh fruit and flower based options. The bar menu is exhaustive and caters to everyone. The pulsating music certainly adds to the charm of the place. Cold mezze platter, mushroom crépes with shitake veloute sauce, chicken pide are favourites here.
