This old-fashioned Chinese restaurant has a tricky approach and can almost be missed. The modest interiors and basic décor, notwithstanding, it is a popular place among families. The seating is functional, yet comfortable. The home-style food is clearly their strength and beckons patrons. The menu is exhaustive and offers tremendous variety, vegetarians dishes included. Expect hearty portions and robust, well-spiced food. This place serves no alcohol, but that is clearly not a deterrent for diners. From 'Chicken Red Yang Soup' to 'Crispy Potatoes' and 'Pomfret in Pepper Garlic' to 'Crispy Thread Chicken', there is something to wow every palate. There are Thai dishes on the menu too and 'Thai Meuf Chicken' and 'Vegetable Thai Green Curry' are a must-try. Good quality ingredients, stand out in each dish which is replete with distinct flavours. Order wisely as the generous portions can easily be shared. The service staff is helpful and well-versed with the menu. Service is prompt and efficient.
The restaurant is situated on the main road thus is easy to find. Yet, may be sometimes you won't think it's a must go. That's about the reachability. Next, talking about the food, they have a variety of thai, chinese and continental cuisine who only the known ones can understand (LOL). For most of the dishes we had to ask what it is, hehe. Food taste is better for the non vegetarian dishes but for the veg ones, do stick to the routine chinese dishes we indian eat so that you don't get the surprises. Regarding the services, it can be rated poor as the staff as well as the captain seemed to be absent minded when any large group comes. They will serve partially and forget the rest, or would not listen to you totally, or would listed but forget. Also, they get irritated in case you take your time. Most of the dishes were not available also making the choices very lesser. Also, the crispy potato was served with partially boiled tomato which then had to be returned. In total, avoidable restaurant if you have options. Although they are opening the outlet in the much happening area now but if services remain like this, it will be a nightmare for owner for sure.
I wanted to try a new Chinese joint in Navi Mumbai. My wife and I visited Shaolin Temple in January. The entrance to the restaurant is on a vacant field and is quite uninspiring. However, inside the restaurant it is tastefully decorated without being garish. In terms of ambience, there is room for improvement but in terms of food it is quite outstanding. We tried the Asparagus Crabmeat Soup, which was quite delicious. It did not have the pungent aroma common in some joints. Then, in starter, we had the Prawn in Pepper Garlic, which was great without being spicy. Among other starters we had the crispy squid that was not mentioned in the menu but was specially prepared by the chef for us. For the main course, we tried the Mix Pan Fried Noodle. For dessert we had the chocolate dimsum. It was out of this world. All in all we had an absolutely memorable meal. Would strongly recommend them not just for their sumptuous courses but also the thoughtful service.
It is a very beautiful place located in CBD Belapur . just 10-15 mins far from station. Easy location to find. This place was very relaxing and comfortable. seating is also nice here and there is a huge place for it. Its all good experience here. Ambiance seems very nive and interior is well designed. This place is very well furnished. walls are designed by Chinese frames. Yellow dim lights was there which helps in freshen this place. celling is simple, and atmosphere is good. Service was amazing. All staff members was very helpful. They really made sure that we had a great time there. They help us to deciding menu.Service was quite fast. Overall an amazing time spent there. Food we had :- Mocktails:- Blue lagoon: we first ordered the well known drink that is World famous now one Blue Lagoon. It was light blue transparent liquor with good taste. It had somewhat flavour of mint and was quite mild. Fruit punch:This is the good choice for shake lovers. It was mentioned that it will be a combination of mix fruit juice, vanilla ice cream and rose syrup and yes It had the real taste of fruit with a lot of thickness due to vanilla Cream.Only rose flavour was missing. Virgin mojito: This is also the highly recommended drink everywhere. It had the flavour of lime juice blended with sprite. That was the perfect blend of all things and the output was also upto the taste with quite sourness due to lime flavour. Starters:- Pomfret in burnt chilli:This time I decided to ditch the chicken and went for seafood.I rearly go for sea food in restaurants due to doubtful taste in some places.here I took a chance and it turned out to be graceful experience.I had best pomfret in town at this place. They served it very well with one fried full pomfret with the 5-6 big pieces of pomfret in authentic sauces. It was tasting undoubtedly best. The spices and sauces used were mouth watering and I couldn't control myself from eating that whole fish with all my heart. This is the must try starter for every sea food lover. Mountain chilli prawns:Shawleen temple is famous for this dish.It is basically Chinese dishes with lot of spiceness. The prawns were well cooked and perfectly combined with the dry sauces. The gravy included kashmiri mirch tukdaa along with all other authentic spices. This dish is preferred for those who love spicy food. Mains:- Fusion chilli Lamb sizzler-This time we decided to take sizzlers instead of rice/noodles.I never had lamb in any hotel before. The experience here was not that good huh.I loved their presentation overall which included egg fried rice ,crispy potato wedges, beans,Simla mirch ,the lamb curry and fried potato chips.I liked the taste of rice and chips than curry. The curry was not that good as expected.I didn't like the flavours maybe because i am spice lover. The curry was not spicy but the lamb pieces were well cooked. Deserts:- Sizzling brownie with chocolate sauce
Highly recommend place for foodies. Food was so delicious and yummmy. Wanton Soup and Dimsums was damn good in taste. Amazing ambiance with classy crowd. Crispy potatoes Mocktails with very nice presentation added spark to dine.service was too good. Mr. Rai was so helpful and suggested best food of our choice. Sizzling Brownie choco souce was as expected and tasty. We would love to visit the place again and also recommend our friends and family to visit the same.
Looking for a restaurant to have some great Chinese food with Shaolin temple like interiors well this is the place you must visit it serves some great Chinese and thai food. The Thai food over here is really good which I like the most and but Chinese dishes are almost upto the mark. Ambience over here is very decent and Soothing it makes you feel like you are almost in China or one of there temples. Dishes we tried were chefs special. Tom kha soup Its a Thai soup with base of coconut milk and red chili it is not a spicy one but was a perfectly balanced with spice. Emperor noodles soup It was Chinese base soup topped with crispy noodles on it ,it has chicken egg and paneer in it, the paneer was so soft that it was mouth melting. Java chicken lollipop This were our regular chicken lollipop but with a special in house sauce the lollipops are tossed with there special sauce and were really good. Mountain chilly prawns The mountain chilly prawns were more like prawns tossed in barbeque sauce. Blue Lagoon The mocktail served over here are good the blue logoon is my fav for suggestion. and Live current mocktail you can also try the live current if you are berry person. burnt garlic pot rice The pot rice has a really good quantity for sure the gravy of the pot rice was super smooth and went well with the combination of chicken and rice . Sizzling chocolate dimsum Will recommend this dish to have if you can have(eat) hot food because the sizzling pan takes time to cool down and mean while the hot pan stiffens the dimsum during the cooling process.
