This fine-dining restaurant with an attractive bar, takes you on a gastronomical journey across the Grand Trunk Road. The vibe is cheerful and the décor sophisticated yet, casual. The seating is well-spaced out and affords enough privacy and comfort. The menu is exhaustive, fairly unusual and enticing. Vegetarian options abound. The cold starters offered here are unique and perfect for the Mumbai weather. The 'Taazey Ankurit' or mixed sprouts with veggies particularly, is a palate-pleaser. The 'Galouti Kabab' is a bit coarse in texture than it should be, but flavourful nevertheless. The 'Soya Ki Chaap' turns out to be a surprise. Among mains, the 'Gobhi Ka Keema', 'Deem’er Curry', 'Kosha Mangsho' and 'Gosht Nihari' stand out. The array of Indian breads here, especially 'Zafrani Taftoon', are impressive. The high tea with delicacies from across India is a must try. The food is robust and well-presented, with authentic flavours, albeit with a few hits and misses. The service is a bit slack, but the staff is polite and helpful.
