The popular restaurant Zaffran near Crawford Market, opens in a new avatar as Ustaadi, albeit with modern décor and a global menu. The elegant and spacious interiors, dotted with antiques and the textured wall finish, give it a rustic, yet contemporary feel. A family dining place, which also attracts the millennials, this place serves no alcohol. The vast menu offers North Indian, Mughlai, Pan Asian, Middle Eastern and even global fare. Plenty of comfort food - pizza, pasta, burgers, baos, are available. Among starters, 'Murg Chello', 'Kanji Tikka', 'Gosht Shikampur', stand out in terms of unique flavours. The 'BBQ Chicken Salad with micro greens' is light and wows your palate. Vegetarian options abound and the 'Dhingri Paraat Pulao' served with 'Kumbh Ki Chai' is a star on their menu. The 'Chicken Stroganoff' is exceedingly well-made and worth-a-try. The portions are generous and value-for-money. You cannot leave this place without gorging on the 'Ustaadi Malpua with Rabdi' or the 'Chenna Payesh'. The service staff is polite and helpful and the service prompt.
