There has been a steady rise in the number of microbreweries that have been set up not just in Chandigarh but in Panchkula and Mohali as well. Among those that have found a steady fan following is The Brew Estate that has 3 branches across Chandigarh and Panchkula. The outlet in Panchkula is located in the bustling market of Sector 9. Spread over three floors, it is the perfect location. The decor is indeed well done. We loved the use of space and the jaw-dropping bar cabinet that starts from the ground floor up. The bartenders actually use a ladder to access the drinks. It is definitely a conversation starter. There is plenty of seating space and the place is always bustling with activity all through the day. The highlights are definitely the fresh brews. Like with all such microbreweries, the sample shots are quick to arrive on the table. The ‘Belgian Wit’ was a hit with us for its light-bodied and crisp taste. For those who would skip the beer, The Brew Estate has many interesting cocktails as well. The menu offers a good selection of starters, main course and even thin-crust pizzas. The place works well as a cafe too and the starters are well portioned and make for the perfect accompaniment to the chilled beer. The ‘Chilli Garlic Prawns’ was well done and the ‘Soya Jalapeno Malai Tikka’ will appeal to the vegetarians looking for a chilli hit. The pizzas are another highlight here and choose from multiple Italian as well as Indian toppings. The fun vibe and the efficient service makes this place a must-visit.
