If you find yourself in particularly good weather and in the mood for a little getaway, drive up to this gorgeous Italian-Mediterranean restaurant. The ambience – white, with sheer drapes and touches of blue and olive – is equal parts breathtaking and calming. Gentle breeze and mellow music add to the romantic milieu. The menu has an entire page of lovely-sounding salads – I recommend the Tuscan one with kalamata olives, aragula leaves, red onions, tomatoes and capers, garnished with warm and crusty French bread croutons, dressed with feta cheese and sweet balsamic glaze – wholesome and bursting with flavour. They also make creamy, meaty moussaka which goes well with their sausage and potato soup. For mains, try one of their pastas, woodfire pizzas or risottos.
