The name Basilia instantly reminds you of the sharp notes of basil, some olive oil perfumes: that is what this place is all about. Basilia is a small chain of Pizzeria started up by young IT professionals in the city. Clearly, the young blood wants to make something of their own, they decided to bake pizzas and make everyone happy! With a massive Pizza menu and a brief pasta menu, the pizzeria is here to stay with all the interesting toppings and sauces that are great for the soul and you would keep wanting for more. The setup is nice and small, they are always humble when they talk to you and serve food to you. We loved the segregation of Classic and Signature pizzas on the menu. The Signature range includes the ‘Messy Riddler’ that comes with a nice thin crust, classic sauce and oodles of cheese but mainly: corn, lettuce, some crunchy nachos and a spicy jalapeno sauce. This is more like when Italians met Mexicans and they made a pizza together. The range of Pasta includes a few with Pesto sauce, some with classic Tomato sauce and the others with Alfredo sauce. They can be topped with a side of extra veggies and that’s something which is very much needed. They are cooked Al Dente just how most of us love it but if you like it a little overcooked, they will do that for you. Squishy 'Mac and Cheese’ sort of comfort food we mean, do not we! Now, there is nothing sweet to eat but there is enough sweet to drink. We like the ‘Hot Chocolate and Freakshakes’ here. The Hot Chocolate is served with Marshmallow on top and it is flamed on the table to make it fancy. This is a great move to show some theatrics to us and please us while we are at it.
