If a solid dose of some feel-good Indianised Chinese deliciousness is what you are seeking, blindly head to Chang’s. Housed in an old building with a quaint awning, the place is done up in warm interiors with red walls, simple checkered tablecloth and pretty light fixtures and Chinese lanterns. Start with the apple chicken and sesame toast prawns, and then dig into their delectable mains – the Hunan lamb or fish in crabmeat sauce (!) with some scrumptious burnt garlic rice or chilli bean noodles would do wonders for your jaded taste buds. The gravies are perfectly spiced, the meats well cooked and the service quick and with a smile. A meal here is hardly ever a disappointment if you know what you have signed up for – not gourmet Pan Asian fare, but some good old comfort food.
