Angare is one of the few restaurants in the city where they have live music on all the days of the week. It is a speciality restaurant serving North Indian cuisine which is a cuisine quite popular with the Gujaratis. Angare is a large restaurant with an oval shaped platform in the middle which can be used as a dance floor or a stage for a performance. The musicians and singers use this space for their performances. The usual music played here is Hindi film songs both old and contemporary; however, the volume of the music tends to be a high restricting conversation if you are seated close to the stage. The restaurant décor is decent but not striking and the service can do with some improvement. They are short staffed it seems. The food here is good but not consistent. To begin with, order Amritsari Gosht Shorba if you are a non-vegetarian and Sonth Tamatar Nimbu Saar if you are a vegetarian. Try Dingri Ke Dolme - Stuffed Mushrooms, a vegetarian starter. Non-vegetarians who love seafood can go for Ajwaini Jheege or Tandoori Pomfret and if you are a mutton lover, try Galouti Kebab. For the main course in the non-vegetarian section, it would be better to order Roganjosh than Rada Gosht. You could also have Chooza Makhani, a chicken dish.Vegetarians have Sarson Ka Saag along with Makkai Ki Roti and Dal Makhani.
