Café 15 A is the only restaurant in Starottel Hotel, which is situated on the ground floor just a few feet from the hotel entrance. It has an open plan close to the reception and the lounge area, so it hampers the ambience, but the restaurant is popular amongst the corporates for its lunch buffets due to its great location and reasonable pricing. It is among the few restaurants in Ashram Road, a very commercial place, which offers good executive lunches in a four-star hotel at such competitive prices (just Rs 503 including taxes for a lunch buffet). The place also offers dinner and its brunch is sought after on Sunday. The breakfast spread is also elaborate and preferred by business executives. The hotel’s Chinese dishes, Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes and continental desserts are good. For vegetarians, there is an array of choices from Charne Ka Aloo, Dingri Matar Ka Milap, Dum Aloo Banaresi, Paneer Tawa Masala and Dal Makani, which has great taste. Non-vegetarians must try Bhuna Gosht, and Chef Sabyasachi Nag recommends Rogan Josh and Chingri Ka Salad (Prawn Salad). For deserts, it is better to try their continental deserts like Apple Cinnamon Pie or Chocolate Crunchy Roll.
