Located on S G Highway close to the Pakwan Cross Roads, Hojamalo is a Sindhi restaurant, as the name so, evidence suggests. This is a small restaurant on the ground floor with paintings of Sindhi women and other paintings depicting rural life. It is run by a mother and son team where the mother who brings her knowledge of Sindhi cuisine learnt over decades from her side of the family and her in-laws family along with her. This place is done up in simple style with exposed brick walls painted white and simple furniture with grey upholstery. It has a sweet and snacks counter close to the entrance on one side. The menu offers a whole lot of variety from tea and snacks to full meals and sweets so naturally, they serve the famous Sindhi snack 'Dal Pakwan'. But they also have 'Sindhi Chola Chap', 'Dal Sandwich' and 'Pakoda Dabal'. The appetizers here are also different, like 'Sindhi Beeh Ki Tikki', 'Sindhi Seyal Dabal' and 'Dahi Papad Ke Kebab'. There is also 'Sindhi Kachri Platter'. For sides dishes, there is 'Sindhi Papad Ki Churi' and 'Sindhi Khicha'. For the main course, there is 'Sindhi Saai Bhaji', 'Sindhi Papad ki Sabji' and 'Sindhi Beeh Patata Raas Pai' which is a vegetable dish made out of Lotus Stem and Potatoes. There is also 'Sindhi Kadhi' made out of besan and vegetables with tamarind paste giving it the sour taste. One can have all these vegetables with 'Sindhi Fulkas' and 'Paranthas'. This is a vegetarian restaurant. The service here is swift.
