Little Italy is part of a chain of restaurants across India which started its journey over two decades ago. In Ahmedabad, it’s a journey is still new but the name is a brand. However, the vegetarian Little Italy restaurant in Bodakdev has prices on the higher side. The food is good though not exceptional and even the décor of the place is decent but again not outstanding. The restaurant is done up in shades of mustard, beige and maroon and it is located on the ground floor. It is spread over a single level and it’s an open restaurant with no barriers of pillars obstructing the view. The food here is Italian as the name suggests but they also serve some Mexican cuisine. Try the Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Olive Bruschetta or Zucchini in Carpione. If you want to have a soup, try the Zuppa Di Cipolle, which is a spring onion soup. They have some interesting pizza names like Zen, Goa, Nirvana and Garden and it is a must try here. You can go for Indian fusion pizzas or traditional Italian pizzas like Pizza Napoli or Sicilia.
A chain from Pune, started by a Gujarati along with a Chef from Italy... This place serves the most authentic recipes in Ahmedabad. It has been there for more than a couple of years now and is a niche place with a supercool ambience..... Even today, if asked, where would I like to eat Italian Food? - The answer would be only Little Italy... Pizza Sicilia is my fav and the Penne pasta in mixed sauce is simply superb... Even Lasagne alla verdure happens to be a winner for me as it tastes supreme along with Garlic Bread... In Ahmedabad.. no two thoughts about Italian food anywhere else..
Why to travel Italy for food when you have little italy near you . Their menu is unique . The best part was the menu card it was in italian language , but the staff explained it very well in english and hindi . It helped to visualize it . Pizza was just awesome . Fondue was new for me but I liked it. Thank you little italy . Hope to visit you soon.
Went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday with a total group of 15 people and ordered a variety of items. Restaurant has great ambience and the basement car park is very convenient. Bruschetta was very good with just the right amount of olive oil. Ravioli Pasta was totally average and it is surprising that in spite of such a great oven, they manage make the pizzas so terrible. It would take special effort to make the sauce so tasteless. Restaurant tried very hard to make a couple of attempts to fix it but it was like asking me (a 5km runner) to run a full marathon. I did hear some other guests note that several months earlier the food here was good but it seems that must have been in a distant past.
Had lunch on a weekday, restaurant was almost empty. Service was prompt and polite and nice ambience. Huge menu of varied choices and its all vegetarian. The cheesy nachos were good. The pesto sauce was runny with just a few small pieces of ravioli. Disappointed with the lasagna too, again really thin sauce. Dessert was also disappointing with the small piece of dry cheesecake. Prices are very high, about Rs.1000 per person, but the quantity and quality are average.
Amazing food and healthy food.i loved the behaviour of staff and their fast service.once you must go here for original taste of Italian dishes
