I had heard a lot about Sankalp restaurant and their dosas. Recently, I planned a visit to taste their food.
I ordered:
Masala Papad
Hara Bhara Kabab
Kerala Cheese Garlic Dosa
Chaos Dosa
Medu Vada
I wanted to let you know that there was no match between the taste and the price (overpriced). Their food had no relation to the taste of South Indian cuisine. They couldn't even maintain the original taste level of any ordinary Udupi restaurant. Their food looked like South Indian dishes but did not have the authentic taste ?. This food was good just for filling the stomach, but your taste buds would remain unsatisfied.

The restaurant staff was very helpful (5/5). Cleanliness was maintained very well (4/5). The ambience was good (4/5).

Best hospitality. Peaceful atmosphere with slow music in the background. Cooperative staff. Best South Indian food with quantity according to their rates. Wonderful seating. Cleanliness maintained especially in this pandemic period with masks compulsory. Regular temperature checking at the door and hand sanitizing.

The food here is delicious, and we enjoyed a variety of dishes including masala papad, mysore masala dosa, masala idli, and karamura dosa. Each dish was flavorful and well-prepared, living up to our expectations of authentic South Indian cuisine.

Service was prompt, which added to the positive dining experience. However, there is room for improvement in terms of hygiene practices among the waitstaff. During our visit, we noticed that the waiters handled plates without wearing gloves, which raised concerns about hygiene. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to ensure that waiters maintain proper hygiene standards, such as wearing gloves or using appropriate serving utensils, especially when handling food directly.

Despite this minor issue, our overall dining experience was pleasant. Sankalp offers a cozy atmosphere and friendly service, making it a suitable choice for anyone craving South Indian flavors in Ahmedabad. Whether you're looking to dine out with family or friends, Sankalp Restaurant is worth considering for its tasty food and convenient location.
