Not many people know that Oterra is home to some lovely restaurants and Alloro is one that is definitely a good one to spend a quiet evening at. Start your meal with the 'Panzanella', the classic salad with a bread base is served up in an interesting rendition here and you should see it to experience it. I personally love good quality carpaccio and the 'Carpaccio di Prosciutto' does not disappoint. Among the soups, it is the 'Minestrone de Verdura alla Genovese' that you should try - a vegetable broth base, cherry tomatoes, zucchini, carrots, all in little scoops floating around. What gave it that Genova touch as the touch of pesto that has been done in a mortar-pestle. A hearty soup, that is as delicious as it was colourful. The 'Bollito Misto' is a wine based soup broth with beef and chorizo. This deep red coloured soup had chunks of chorizo, which in the wine-based broth brought about an interesting blend of acidic flavours. If you are looking for an indulgent main course, the 'Guanciale di Manzo' - Sous Vide cooked beef cheeks in a wine reduction paired with creamy polenta. Beef cheeks are not easy to work with - but these had done enough of the time to quite literally be melt in the mouth. The 'Creamy Polento' provided a great if a rather heavy offset to the beef cheeks. The 'Gnocchi al Pomodoro' - potato gnocchi and in a basil pesto and tomato sauce with bocconcini. Packed to the rim with flavour - the Italian tomatoes internationally sourced but locally grown. The 'Apple Pie' with shredded apple and cinnamon is spot on as is 'Tiramisu' (yes, yes, I tend to stick to the classics).
Staying in Bangalore for a business trip I’ve discovered this fantastic Italian restaurant in the Oterra hotel. The service is attentive and impeccable. Special mention must be made for the Chef Goutam who’s kindly customised dishes.. linguine had run out for my seafood dish and Goutam kindly offered an alternative “freshly made tagliatelle”.. And an alternative soup option was offered when the first choice wasn’t up to my colleagues taste. Big thumbs up!
Great service. Chef exchanged a soup that didn’t suit my taste to another soup without me requesting. Pasta is really good and handmade. My favorite restaurant in this hotel. Thanks!
Got dinner here and service was very good and attentive. Dikshya was a good server and very friendly. A nice and quiet atmosphere away from the hustle and noise of the streets. Food was good too, no complaints and feeling full
Alloro is our favourite Italian restaurant in Bangalore. Me and my husband are vegetarians and we find good options in their menu. The minestrone soup, pizza and pasta are delicious. The staff is very attentive especially Lokesh, Pankaj, Ishwariya and Sudesh. We Love visiting this place again and again.
The best Italian restaurant in town. I just love everything they cook. In a way, I am so very biased about their cooking. But still there are some items in the menu which are my absolute favourite and I keep going back to have them. First and foremost, the Grilled prawn Risotto. Its just heavenly. I don't know how many times I had it and loved it every time. Then the caprese salad and the panacotta. Their tiramisu and pizza is great too. Careful while order, the portion size is quite large too. Specially the pork ribs. Its humongous. Also it is a great place to celebrate your special occasion. They have a knack to upgrade your special occasion a notch higher.
