Food

Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant

Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant is a restaurant in Marathahalli, Bengaluru serving biryani, Chettinad and South Indian. Known for biryani and Indian mains; ideal for family meals and group outings.

I don't know why they are running, not a clean environment. Single person taking order, billing, and managing online delivery. Food taste is very average. I saw some little cockroach near my table. I think they about to shut down this outlet. I will never visit again. my day and money was spoiled. Even this is Marathahalli prime location, I wonder, if they don't have interest to run better they shutdown the business don't play with customer money.. such a horrible atmosphere inside, some AC water showering like a rain from sealing..

We recently placed a large order. While the delivery took approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. The overall food experience was underwhelming.

The vegetarian options were particularly disappointing, the menu lacked variety, and the dishes that were available fell short in both taste and presentation. Most items were bland and did not look appetizing. The non-vegetarian dishes were slightly better, with a few that were decent, but many were either overcooked or didn't live up to expectations in terms of flavor and taste.

On a positive note, Mr. Ayyappan was extremely helpful throughout the process, his support was much appreciated.

Hoping to see improvements in food quality and variety, especially for vegetarians.

I visited the place today and my experience wasn't good.
The service was very slow it took 20-25 min to arive the food and honestly the food didn't taste as good as I expected, especially for the price. The prices are here similar to other well known places like Meghna and nagarjuna.
The food served by staff was quietly in stranger manner first the brought the one starter then the other starter halfway through the meal.
At one point I decided to leave the place but I decided to stay and eat it instead wasting.
They have potential to but needs to improve few things.
1. Train your staff
2. Improve the food quality
3. Ambience should be updated (as AC was leaking and they were collecting the droplets in bucket)

Take it as a constructive criticism and improve so we can have authentic tamil biryani

Great service and even greater quality of food ?

The place was empty and so I assumed that the quality of service and food might not be that good. But I was so wrong.

We tried Crab ? Lollipop: A little crisper than we like, it sure was a delicious ? item

The manager also suggested us to try Pallipalayam Chicken ? ? which was out of menu and we loved it. Filled with coconut and spices, the flavor and aroma was too good to be described

Next came Egg Kothu Paratha and Prawn Masala both of which were as delicious as the previous ones.

Since the spice was a bit on the higher side for us, we also ordered a Jiggar Thanda which is a very famous drink from Madurai

Being from Eastern India, we did love the flavors of Tamil Nadu a lot ❤️

I went to this place with lots of hope, but it turned out to be a disaster. I lived in Chennai for 6years, so I am fond of few tamil restaurants. Firstly the restaurant was fine, but not hygenic. So I am disappointed there, then coming to food I have ordered for 4 dishes (2 starters and 2 main course) but none of them were good. I have to cancel one of the main course because of its taste. The manager was good enough to accept my cancellation so I need not pay for it. I might not go to this restaurant again.

I’ve ordered from this place couple times, and almost every time the chicken has been spoiled. My last order with non veg meals was the worst experience — the chicken was completely bad, and I ended up with severe vomiting afterward?. This is extremely disappointing and unsafe. I will never order from here again.

We had special mutton biryani! If you are expecting basmati rice then this is not the option for you! The mutton was tender and nicely cooked!

We had mushroom capcicum starter it was amazing!

The spring roll was huge and not upto the mark!

There was payasam which was good like coconut milk sweet!

They serve the food in Banana leaf!

Just to give give a real feedback I would like to say that, they just don't justify the price they extort from the guest. With my friend jumped in for lunch on Thursday after surfing over the net, chosen to go to Anjappar just by the name of Chettinad but very much disappointed by serving half cooked tandoori chicken and tasteless chicken biriyani.
