Located on Cunningham Road, which has a host of workplaces in and around, Banjara Melting Pot attracts a lot of office-goers for lunch, especially for their noon buffet. The place offers a mix of North Indian, Chinese and seafood options and has a decor which could pass off as being in a time warp of the 80s and 90s. Although it offers a mix of cuisines, their seafood options are more popular than others. The neer dosas with prawns ghee roast are recommended. Other than those, you could also try their sweet corn soup, chilly crispy potatoes, stir-fried chicken, tandoori platter, garlic naan, and Rajasthani laal mass among others. Their spicy guava mocktail is another favourite, we hear.
One thing which I always like about Banjara in all its 4 branches in Bangalore is they make sure you step inside the restaurant in the right mood by creating such a wonderful ambience. Out of the four outlets quality in food is served best in Kormangala, followed by Cunningham road (this one) and kumara park and last is the airport road outlet. The food was decent with nice flavours. The paneer tikka was soft and had few flavours. The other veg starters were also good. Best dish was the Phulka which was very soft and fresh and nicely made. The sabzis were also tasty but lacked spice. Overall it was a good experience and it jas been one of our favourite restaurants for celebration of any occasion in family. They have non veg also. Must try if you stay close to any of these outlets and have not tried at all.
Right on the Cunningham Road. It is one floor down. Excellent Mangaloren food. Neer Dosha was great. Fish, Pork were all excellent . Good service & neat place
Attentive service, nice seating in the basement. Bring a jacket as the AirCon is a bit too cold for some people. Food is very good, not the cheapest place to east but it is worth it.
Typical selection of north Indian/Moghlai dishes on menu. Their coastal Karnataka selection, though limited, is way better. Nice ambience, service is a bit slow and sometimes confused. Good selection of drinks but pricey
This restaurant presents very well. Excellent quality food and the menu is reasonably varied. Beverage list is average and, as is typical in India, don't expect a selection of decent wine.
