Blue Frog is the place to go when some good acts come to town. On most weekdays and nights when there are no shows, the place tends to be quieter. Try and snag a seat upstairs, over the bar area for some of the best acoustics. They have a full-fledged bar if you are looking to venture beyond the standard bottled beers. The 'Whiskey Sour Cocktail' would be one to try. The 'Strawberry Basil Martini' is a good idea as well. And for those who would rather steer clear of the alcohol, the 'Hibiscus' cooler is a good idea. Start nibbling on the 'Breaded Onion Rings' as your first round. Crispy on the outside and steaming hot rings onion on the inside. The 'Shotgun Chicken' is a good addition to your starters as are the classic 'BBQ Wings'. The 'Mutton 3 Cheese Kebab' is quite an indulgent dish to go with and when paired with beers is great. The burgers are quite substantial and good options to go with are the 'Moroccan Chicken Burger' and the 'Lamb Burger' with the works. If you would rather go the Indian way, then the 'Paneer Tikka Masala with Rice', or the 'Thai Vegetable Curry in green' and a very popular 'Grilled Fish in a Lemon Caper Sauce' is what you should consider. Pastas in classic sauces of Arrabiatta, Alfredo, Creamy Mushroom and a house made magic masala are good options. I personally love to end on either the 'Dates and Caramel Pudding' or the 'Lemon Cheesecake'.
Relaxed ambiance, right across WeWork on Church Street, very close to the metro station entrance, decent food
It was on Thursday we went as team and only we we're there on entire premises even after several requests DJ didn't played tracks that we requested.
Yes, the cover price includes a drink, but this only includes the most basic of basic drinks, which should have been more apparent at the get go. But what was even more egregious than this was the poor service overall. It was like our waiter had ADHD. He couldn't stay at our table long enough to take our entire order. He bounced between ours and other tables, taking one drink order at a time and, then, getting them entirely wrong. He kept returning to check to see if he'd gotten our order right. So odd! If that wasn't bad enough, what ensured that we would certainly not return was how poorly the server responded to an issue with the food. There was a hair in a dish I ordered, and the waiter insisted that this wasn't so. Rather than just take the order back, he returned with a solitary piece of chicken and proffered it to us, again insisting that it wasn't hair that we'd seen in the dish but something from the tandoor. What nonsense! And who comes back with a single piece of chicken? How do I know it's not the same one you just dehaired? Blue Frog is a hairy experience best skipped. Go to Church Street Social down the road, instead.
Ok to sit and drink but over priced drinks and menu..ambient just ok.. As a traveler i will not prefer a second visit
We were drawn to it by the two for one lunch special. Service was very good except that their promise of non-spicy food didn't hold good. We could barely eat our tasty mushroom appetizer for the chili level in it. We pointed it out and were assured by our waiter that the entree would be as we wanted. That was too spicy too, though taste was excellent. Adding butter to my curry made it a little bit more palatable.
3, Church Street, Bengaluru, is the address to Bengaluru’s one of the most swanky and trendy places till date. It goes by the name of ‘Blue Frog’ and just like its interesting name the place itself is full of surprises. Do make sure to visit on weekend for maximum fun for Blue Frog is slightly dull on weekdays. Split into two floors the upper floor looks down on the stage set up for live gigs. Techno lights and sharp beams uplifts the ambience into looking more stylish and up-to-date. Set in contemporary way Blue Frog is a smart and chic bar that has a huge fan base mainly due to the live gigs the bar puts up. Thumping music and high tempo elevates the whole experience at Blue Frog. On pleasant days you can choose to sit at their al fresco seats and the staff will do their best accommodate you.
The food not only tastes well but also looks enticing when it comes to your table. Stylish edgy platters carry the beautiful food with pride and the colourful food simply pops out on the dark background. As Blue Frog is a drinking place the menu is dominant on the appetizers side. Wide range of appetizers in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian features on the menu so go crazy with them. Beginning with chargrilled lemon mustard fish, pan scraped kerala calamari, crumb fried mushrooms, chicken wings, frog nachos, chargrilled focaccia stuffed mushrooms, mutton three cheese kebab, mixed sprout & peanut falafel, Thai spiced chicken tikka, wok tossed garlic pepper shrimp and cottage cheese skewers. For a light meal soups, salads and sandwiches can delight your taste buds. Pastas in scrumptious sauces such as, penne arrabbiata, gnocchi, malai chicken risotto, ravioli and lasagne a la Bolognese are superb. Coq au vin, Thai chicken curry, beer batter fish, kerala vegetable stew, banana leaf wrapped fish and grilled tiger prawns are a must have.
Satisfy your sweet tooth by sampling Blue Frog’s dessert menu which showcases delicacies like Japanese cheesecake, French toast a la frog, homemade rocky road ice cream, what the fudge and a dessert sampler (for greedy ones!). Pair your food with either beer, cocktails, shots, tea cocktails, gin, vodka, whisky, rum, gin, tequila, cognac, brandy or wines to enhance your dinner. Bit on the expensive side Blue Frog is a trendy and popular place to hang out with friends accompanied by great music and tremendous food.
