Be it for lunch or dinner - BonSouth's buffet is popular pretty much throughout the week. The menu is not always the same, but you can hope to find some decent starters - such as sabudana vada, and rava fried arbi or even mutton patties, chicken grilled in South Indian spices and dahi vada. For main course, they usually have a curry with chicken, mutton and seafood (that includes crab). For vegetarians, the choices are not always very exciting. Appams get served on the table, so don't skip out on that. Or else, there is always biryani. But try the coconut milk payasam for dessert for sure.
Though I have rated average but is is nice to have dinner here. I have been there In a party and I liked it's service over food's taste.
The taste of the food is just okay but not worth for money No complementary beverages provided. Water bottle charged additional charge. No choice of Ice creams only two flavours … Vanilla and Strawberry Limited verities of Starters. Fish verities are horrible. Poor maintenance and poor amenities. Not at all worth for money.
The food was alright, no complaints. BUT!!! I was the fist customer for dinner this Onam 2018 and I went with my wife. Despite being the first customer, the toilets were dirty. I have been there a few times and the toilets are always dirty!EVEN WORSE! I saw many small cockroaches in the glass desert self ! They were all over the small muffins. The food might be good, but the hygiene standards are pathetic. I have fall sick before after eating there, but somehow I thought there could be some other reason. Now I see why...Never going back there. I recommend you don't go either.
I can't even remember how many times i have visited this restaurant but every time i do i am surprised. They also have these special festivals, i have been a part of Kerala food festival and Sri Lanka food festival. I have never encountered better South India food anywhere in the country as they serve in BonSouth, even if they are serving a dish as simple as nachos, they will add a twist by serving it in a coconut shell. Food like this make you feel that you are a part of such a culturally rich and diverse country. I will suggest to concentrate more on the starters and deserts, at least i do ;) Must try (For non vegetarians): Grilled/ Goan Prawns, Stuffed Chicken breast, panko fried fish Must try (Vegetarians): Paniyaram, Podi idly, banana dosa, mushroon sticks Desserts: Try what is appealing to the eye and as much. But DO NOT MISS - Elaneer Payasam. You will regret it later!
It hasnt been a memorable experience for us a group of 20. Even with prior booking there hastnt been a table ready for 20 and has to adjust in a cramped place. Even though they have advertised unlimited mock tails and cocktails there wasnt any signs of serving them. After repeated request the Manager Sahil come up with his own theory on them. As per them its their choice to serve and they have mocktails of beer and wine. They dont serve anything else. I never heard of mocktails those as we dont add anything to beer and wine. When I tried to explain him that he was bent upon proving his point. When we asked why they advertise unlimited mocktails and doesnt indicate its of wine and beer he said mocktails can be of anything. Dont you think this is cheating ? If the intention is to cheat and earn, then how this place can be your choice ? Other things also wont be of your expectation. Same goes to mocktail , they serve some single mocktail of their choice. Also standard of food items have gone down . So if you want to really enjoy then this is not the place , just go head about 200 meters and you will have Black Pearl
