Broadway is relatively new and tucked into the bylanes of HSR Layout. A mix of Japanese, Indian, Asian and Continental food, the menu has something interesting for everyone. One of the few places that import its fish and that is what makes its sushi and sashimi platters well worth it. There are quite a few varieties in the platters, including some for vegetarians, so no need to fret on that account. The 'Tomato' Tea is a soup you must seriously consider – a delicious clear tomato consommé that is poured over vegetables and crab vermicelli. The 'Spinach and Coconut Soup with Prawns' is a rich, creamy soup that warms the tummy. Crisp crackling makes this all the more delicious. The restaurant also offers pre-plated mains and the 'Spanakopita' is something you should not miss. The Teppanyaki table is a place to sit at, especially if you like some entertainment with your meal. Do ask the chef to fire up the surface… it is quite a treat for kids and adults. Desserts are limited and you must try the 'Fire and Ice' – Baked Alaska flambéed with brandy.
Loved the food, we ordered mutton starter and mutton in main course as well. We requested it to be well cooked and it was. Quite tasty. What was disappointing, how the restaurant looked and kept. It was not well kept restaurant. By name of it I thought gourmet means a bit classy place, but tables and cutlery were ordinary, the table mat they put was old and corners were coming off. The cutlery was just kept there, no proper place to keep them. If they can keep the restaurant good, it would be a good place to go.
Great atmosphere and the sushi was very good. The view is impressive, as well. The desserts lookef great but I was too full to eat them by the time I finished my meal.
Like most of the times, we too visited the restaurant owing to the whole hype about it which I am still figuring out - why!? 1. The staff was not courteous on asking them on how long will we have have to wait for our table 2. the table cloth and napkins had stains and stops and were not clean 3. delivery was super slow 3. food wasnt served hot Go there only if you are sushi lover - as that is really good there.
I had to wait for food for 30 min then I got my starter served which was cold .. I had the salmon chef special even that was cold. Bad experience
We ordered sushi which was very dry and tasteless. Jalapeno croquettes weren’t cooked at all and the worst part comes last with a veggie burger completely stale and onion rings not cooked!! Never gonna visit again!
Do you take your food seriously? If you are a gourmet snob like us then we know you won’t settle for anything less than perfection. You should then try Broadway – The Gourmet Theatre, a lovely unpretentious eatery serving great food. Their menu is pretty exciting where you can dabble in anything from Japanese to Italian to Mexican to Thai. Ambience is good-looking but nothing fancy so your date will be simple yet gastronomically wonderful. Broadway’s rooftop seating section is lovely however. A cozy place for a date for a Special Occasion.
