Chili's has quite an indulgent menu and several offers on usually, making it a great choice. It has been around a while and I have visited most of their outlets in the city over the years. It is one of the few places that serve up good cocktails and has a decent spirits beverage while being a child-friendly place. Start your meal with one of the newer signature dishes – the 'Creamy Jalapeno Wings'. This is one to dig with both hands and to lick up all the drippings. If you would like something to Instagram ask for the 'Guacamole' that will be made at your tableside. If spice is your thing, opt for the 'Terlingua Chili', by the cup or bowl, which is inspired by the original Chili cook-off in Terlingua Texas. This is made with Buffalo meat, but you would not be able to say so from the softness of the meat. The 'Fajitas', 'Tacos' and 'Quesadillas' come in a range of options ensuring that you have a full meal. Now for the big guns – 'The Baby Back Ribs' – half or full rack or a mix and match style come with several delicious sauces – the original BBQ sauce, or one with the mango twist. Or if steaks are your thing, then the 'Sizzling Honey Chipotle Shrimp With Tenderloin' – done medium is what you should get. I loved that the dish came with fresh cloves of garlic that were just sizzling away on the platter in the meat jus. The children’s menu has got some great options that they can put together – the main course, side and a drink. The 'Mac n' Cheese', 'Mashed Potatoes' and a 'Chocolate Milk Shake' was our choice during our last visit. Order the main course from Monday to Thursday and the meal for your child, from the exclusive children’s menu, is free.
If you want to eat non vegan food while in Bangalore this is a good place. Also half of the menu it’s for vegetarian they have plenty to choose!
We went to Orion Mall and wanted to go to Kobe's for lunch, which we were given to understand had closed down. So the next option we chose was Chili's. We ordered Veg Quesadilla and Black beans and Veg Fajitas. I being the newly turned Vegan in the family was surprised to find that they had one Vegan option Guacamole with Chips which I went for, but at the time of placing the order, they informed that the item is not available. So I went for a Bombay Burger. There was no cheese mentioned anywhere in the ingredients and being a new Vegan I am willing to make exceptions at times. The Fajitas came with a lot of add on and just three tortilla or whatever the wraps are called. Clearly the three wraps were NOT SUFFICIENT to hold all the stuffings served with them and they should consider adding some more wraps. I found the rice and beans to be good enough for Vegan me and ate that. In fact they can consider adding just rice and beans in the menu for Vegans like me! The food was good. The service was nice and we did not have to wait too much. My son enjoyed the bottomless coke, though he strongly suspected that the last serving given to him was NOT Coke but Thums Up! We also tried a Singapore Sling, but that was not a hit with us. My wife found it too bitter for her liking. My son found the Quesadilla good. My burger was nice but towards the end it started becoming a bit soft and soggy, but I liked it when it was nice and crispy and also when it became soft and soggy. Overall nothing wrong with the food, but Vegans have limited option, but then Chili's is hardly a place for Vegans! The service was good. The place was not overcrowded. All in all, we had an enjoyable lunch.
I recently visited the Chili's Restaurant at Orion Mall, Bangalore. The food and drinks were American-sized...delicious and wholesome. The flavors were consistent with those in America and the service was excellent. Three Cheers to Chili's.
I understand we are in India but so is the Hard Rock now and they far surpass this restaurant from an “American food” stand point. The menu looks excellent and you would think very similar to US operations but no... Chips and salsa were OK. We also had the southwestern egg rolls but they tasted much more like mushroom pizza and was mushy. Also had Cajun chicken pasta. Nothing Cajun too it and it also had tortilla strips on top ???? yet no mention of that in the menu. Again average. I’d rather have true Indian food over this. Best to skip it.
We went to the Restaurant along with family for dinner on 24th December. After the table was allotted and Order taken, it took more than half hour to get us the drinks and starters. The staff were hardly helpful. In fact we had to request them to thrice to give some tissues and plates. did not have such a bad experience in a long time. ultimately fed with the delays, we paid the bill at the counter and got out of the restaurant and decided not to return again. However on the plus side the food was good and tasty and restaurant offered a student discount of 20%.
