I really like the ambience at East – Oterra. The dim lighting, exposed brick, the swimming pool just at viewing distance. It makes for a lovely space for a meal. The glass lampshades add to the beauty of the space and in this day and age make for perfect Instagrammable photos. Start with their range of dimsums – with ample choice for vegetarians and meat eaters. Quite colourful they are too. I liked the 'Bok Choy' and 'Shitake Dumplings', the Vegetable Crystal Dumplings. The 'Chicken Suimai' is moist and delicious, especially when paired with a sparkling. The 'Prawn Hargao' is a good option too. Among the salads, the 'Rujak Medan' is a great bet, with seasonal fruits, nuts and red chillies. The classic 'Som Tam' is done quite well here. Among the Soups, the 'Vietnamese Pho', the 'Lemon Chicken Coriander Soup' and the 'Spicy Tom Yum Thai' all make for good choices. For the main, the 'Chicken Pho' is a whole meal, with all the trappings being brought to the table. The 'Khao Phat', or spicy 'Thai Rice with Fried Shallots, Chillies and Basil' is a good option. Pair this with the 'Gaeng Keow Wang' or the 'Thai Green Curry Rice' and you will be quite sorted. End your meal on the 'Tub Tim Grob'.
