Fava is located at UB City, one of the most upmarket malls in the city and despite so many restaurants sharing space with it, manages to hold its own. Over the years there have been lovely additions to the menu. Here are some of my all-time favourites at Fava. You would never think it but the 'Chicken and Yogurt Soup' is a lovely start as is the 'Chilled Tomato Gazpacho'. The 'Fava Special Vegetable Kibbeh' and the 'Mushroom, Broccoli and Onion Sheesh Kebab' are lovely choices. The 'Falafel Shawarma' is a lovely answer to the classic meat one. For the meat eaters, you have the 'Persian Chicken Jujeh Kebab' as well as the 'Adana Styled Minced Lamb Kebab'. If you are looking to share, then the 'Crostini Duet in Cherry Tomato' or 'Minced Meat' options. The platters with 'Cured Meat' and 'Meat Kebabs' are also great to share. Among the mains, the 'Root Vegetable Ravioli' is a good choice, the 'Pizza Verde' and the 'Tenderloin & Ricotta Manti' make for great main course dishes too. Of course, you have a lot of dishes that you can go with, and some of them would be 'Millet and Black Rice Risotto', or the 'Tapenade Stuffed Cottage Cheese Steak'. The 'Herbed Chicken Scallopini' and definitely the 'Pomegranate Chicken' should be on your list of possibles. Trolley, scissors, tossing it all up, et al. Do try it. Desserts are brilliant here whether you are trying the 'Caramel and Chocolate Flan', the liquid nitrogen infused ice-cream, frozen yogurt or the 'Sorbet' with the range of toppings, you will not go wrong.
Visited this lovely bistro , displaying minimalist decor & pleasing to the eye in UB City on a Sunday. We were the earliest ones to walk in as a family group, with a naughty toddler in tow. Since we had the whole place to ourselves, we enjoyed the attention from the crew. Limited to vegetarian options we began the culinary journey with the hummus, falafel & the crostini Got to mention their plating style, it was so good that, I felt a pang of guilt for demolishing the painstakingly layered veggies and greens. The appetizers were followed up with our choice of pasta in tomato basil sauce, Mediterranean stir fry with millet & baked veg briam. We however skipped the desert since we wanted to explore other places in UB city for their dessert variants. But looks like we really missed out on their liquid nitrogen ice cream .Well, there's always a next time :).
I love the healthy and organic food choices at Fava. There’s always really cool music with a fun beat in the background. While a smidge unhealthy, I like their single serve fresh made liquid nitrogen ice cream. I’ve had it back home in the USA, but Fava will customize it in a variety of fun flavors.
The food was good. however, I have faced major stomach problems after eating here. The location is good but the parking fee is very high
Food was good overall. However, the ambience and hygience were poor. House Flies all over the place like a low class food court; No A/C and the fan arrangement was bad. Left a lot to be desired particularly given the price range.
I have been thinking of trying this place for a long time, and finally visited it for the first time about a week ago for dinner with family. The restaurant is in UB City, which tends to be quite crowded on weekends. It is right next to the water fountain that has a crowd. Fortunately that doesn't matter once inside the restaurant. We sat in the area near the entrance which is open, and therefore okay when the weather is good or in the evenings. There is another large area a bit inside. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all. We ordered some drinks - they were good. We had a mezze platter, and a chicken shawarma for starters, and a fusilli. We had the mango creme brûlée. The food was very good. Service wasn't good, although there were very few tables occupied. Had to wait for a while for the waiter every time we needed something.
Fava -The Mediterranean is a fantastic restaurant and bar with the backdrop of the picturesque surroundings of lush green historic Cubbon Park and resplendent fountain area. This premium restaurant overlooking the magnificent amphitheatre is located at the 203, posh uber-luxe arcade, The Collection, in UB City, at 24 Vittal Mallya Road in Bangalore. Karaoke music and vibrant live band sets the scene for a romantic rhendvouz. Perched on the piazza level, on the 2nd floor in this upmarket venue, Fava offers the guests one of the most appealing views of the cosmopolitan city. The relaxing outdoor furniture and a high ceiling inside, floor length French windows and granite walls with leather trimmings add to the sophisticated interiors. The bar with its ridge finished granite counters and beautiful pillars reflect the unique and unmistakable aura of the Mediterranean. A meal for two costs approximately INR2000 to INR 2500.
You can experience the exotic Mediterranean, Italian, Lebanese, Greek, Moroccan and Turkish cuisine in this all-day dining restaurant and lounge and an exclusive ‘delicatessen counter ‘.The elite restaurant also offers private dining facilities for guests. The authentic ingredients are used for cooking exotic dishes which are artistically crafted and beautifully presented. Pastas, Lebanese platters, Turkish kebabs are simply awesome. The bar has superior quality of spirits, carefully selected wines as well as signature mixed drinks.
Impeccable service and courtesy go a long way in creating a perfect dining experience in Fava. Super attentive waiters serve Mediterranean set lunches and la carte dinners with imported alcohol efficiently. Relax and chill in the exquisite Bangalore weather on the dazzling wooden deck, listen to music and enjoy mouth-watering food and best of wines. So book a table in advance and enjoy eclectic food in the rejuvenating ambience of this elite restaurant
