Fava is located at UB City, one of the most upmarket malls in the city and despite so many restaurants sharing space with it, manages to hold its own. Over the years there have been lovely additions to the menu. Here are some of my all-time favourites at Fava. You would never think it but the 'Chicken and Yogurt Soup' is a lovely start as is the 'Chilled Tomato Gazpacho'. The 'Fava Special Vegetable Kibbeh' and the 'Mushroom, Broccoli and Onion Sheesh Kebab' are lovely choices. The 'Falafel Shawarma' is a lovely answer to the classic meat one. For the meat eaters, you have the 'Persian Chicken Jujeh Kebab' as well as the 'Adana Styled Minced Lamb Kebab'. If you are looking to share, then the 'Crostini Duet in Cherry Tomato' or 'Minced Meat' options. The platters with 'Cured Meat' and 'Meat Kebabs' are also great to share. Among the mains, the 'Root Vegetable Ravioli' is a good choice, the 'Pizza Verde' and the 'Tenderloin & Ricotta Manti' make for great main course dishes too. Of course, you have a lot of dishes that you can go with, and some of them would be 'Millet and Black Rice Risotto', or the 'Tapenade Stuffed Cottage Cheese Steak'. The 'Herbed Chicken Scallopini' and definitely the 'Pomegranate Chicken' should be on your list of possibles. Trolley, scissors, tossing it all up, et al. Do try it. Desserts are brilliant here whether you are trying the 'Caramel and Chocolate Flan', the liquid nitrogen infused ice-cream, frozen yogurt or the 'Sorbet' with the range of toppings, you will not go wrong.
