Grill 99 is the latest addition to the Ritz Carlton’s portfolio of restaurants on their property. Set on the rooftop of the hotel, right next to the pool, this space has a lovely ambience. You can choose to sit in the wooden slated enclosures or directly under the moonlight. Even if you are the kind who believes a soup fills you up, I suggest you don’t miss out on the Heirloom Tomato and Garlic Soup with Basil Cream. The aroma as it is poured out the tureen is amazing and the flavour profile will leave you spoilt for any future tomato soups. Each grill dish that you order comes in its own pan, with a very rustic presentation. Take the Grilled Seabass filet, with its crispy skin. It comes with grilled tomatoes on the vine, and grilled lemons along with sprigs of fresh rosemary and basil. The Tenderloin was a perfect medium like I asked for with a delicate sear on top. The Prawns in Garlic butter are another amazing grilled rendition of this seafood. Of course, if you want to be at your indulgent best, you can consider the Whole Grilled Lobster which comes thoughtfully cracked open for you. If you must end on a dessert, the Caramel Choux Buns with a Chocolate Ring and Nougatine is what you should order. Insider tips Don’t ignore the dinner rolls that are brought to the table. Warm and toasty, they have sprinkles of truffle salt on them that make such a delicious treat You have a range of accompaniments that you can order with your meal, make sure to order the truffle mash and the wilted spinach in white sauce. You will thank me later If you want to take a walk in between your meal, the poolside, which is just out of sight is where you should head to. The cocoon style seats are perfect to let you sink in and relax
We had really good time at this place and enjoyed all very good time spent with excellent quality of food.
this place serves grill items at the affordable price, taste not so great but its not bad either, can eat if your budget is normal.
This is a beautiful spot by the pool with great service marred by atrocious food. rubbery shrimp served with 'al dente avocado'. That's a quote attributed directly to the chef who, at our complaint, informed us that in January they serve the avocado 'al dente' or raw! It was downhill from there. Avoid. Instead, eat at the superb northern Indian restaurant.
