The rather great and ambitious Desi Chinese restaurant project has flourished mainly because we all love Chinese so much. The restaurant has a real upmarket feel that offers a great dining experience. The service can get a bit slow but it catches up once the appetizers arrive. On a weekend, you will have to wait around 20 minutes to get a table. We tried the ‘Fried Chicken Dumplings’ which are really nicely made and they are quite spicy. Overall, the food here is indeed quite spicy so you may want to ask them to do it down a notch. The menu of soups is also quite interesting and we tried the ‘Crabmeat and Mushroom Soup’, a sublime broth with seafood and umami-like flavour at the end of it. All their soups are very nicely done and they are packed with flavour. The huge variety can really be confusing, there are over 20 options in each category. The desi Chinese style Chicken and Lamb curries are really nice and fancy here, of course the vegetarian is good too, nothing to feel left out. The desserts are really pleasing as well, the things you can always find at a Chinese restaurant. The ‘Lychee with Vanilla Icecream’ is nice and fresh, amongst others.
This restaurant specializes in Chinese cuisine. The soups and starters are nice. We didn't like the vegetable gravy we requested the person taking the order to not suggest any gravy which is even mildily sweet and we wanted somethign which was a bit spicy. Although we ordered a schezwan vegetable gravy it was still little sweet. They tend to take a bit more time to server the order even though there is less crowd in the restaurant.
My relatives and i visited this place, They prefer veg food over non veg so i agree upon them and decided to have veg food at their favorite restaurant. The decor and the lighting was soothing, food was great and at budget.
I have been visiting this restaurant for quiet some time, must food is real good and worth every penny you pay. Every dish I have tried is real good. Highly recommend this nice little restaurant
The Jade restaurant is located in AECS Layout in Bangalore and specializes in Chinese cuisine. I visited the place for lunch and it seemed rather empty at the time. Nonetheless, I ordered one of the meals they were offering. The serving quantity was decent and the time taken to serve was quite good. However, the serving staff did not seem particularly interested. The food quality was average. The ambience of the place is nothing much to write home about either.
Try their wanton soups, wok fried fish with fresh red chilli and sweet basil, golden fried prawns, flat noodle selection or pan fried noodles with prawns and vegetables. It's not the typical spicy Indian-Chinese but authentic Chinese tastes. So if you are expecting very spicy food this place may not be for you.
